Early Learning Victoria is establishing a government-owned early learning and childcare centre at Wedderburn College, offering long day care and kindergarten for Three- and Four-year-olds, with future expansion to PrePrep. Role Purpose The Early Childhood Teacher will deliver highquality early childhood education guided by evidenceinformed, contemporary pedagogy, aligned with the National Quality Standards, Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework, and National Education and Care Law and Regulations. Key Responsibilities Deliver and lead the implementation of highquality educational programmes in funded kindergarten sessions. Build positive, respectful and collaborative relationships with families, children, and colleagues, ensuring an inclusive environment where each child''s learning and development needs are met. Ensure compliance with Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, National Quality Standards, Child Protection and Child Safe Standards, and ELV policies. Plan, deliver and evaluate integrated teaching and learning strategies tailored to each child''s individual needs. Conduct ongoing assessment of children''s progress, provide insightful feedback to families and maintain clear communication. Mentor student teachers on placement, integrating them into the educational setting. Drive service improvement by assessing strengths and areas for growth in accordance with the QIP. Promote a learning culture by prioritising reflective practice and continuous selfevaluation. Role Requirements Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood) or equivalent qualification. Valid VIT registration. Demonstrated experience delivering a highquality playbased educational programme. Extensive understanding of Victorian Early Years Learning Development Framework, Education Care Services National Law and Regulations, the National Quality Framework and Child Safe Standards. Strong ability to lead, mentor and guide educational teams. Effective communication and relationshipbuilding skills with staff, children, families and communities. Experience working with vulnerable children and families. Willingness to consent to a Police Check (to be arranged by Early Learning Victoria). First Aid, CPR, anaphylaxis and asthma qualifications. Food Handling Certificate and Safe Sleep Training is desirable. International Police Check required if resided outside of Australia for 12 months or more during the last 10 years.
