Waste Driver - Ryde Join to apply for the Waste Driver - Ryde role at NSW Health. Classification: Motor Vehicle Driver 2951-4650 Employment type: Part Time Exempt (contract up to June 2028) and Permanent Part Time Hours per week: Part Time Exempt 20 hours per week; Permanent Part Time 8 hours per week Remuneration: $32.04 per hour plus shift allowances and 12% superannuation Location: Ryde Hospital, Eastwood Applications close: 11:59pm Monday 5 January 2026 Notes: One of these roles is an exempt role with a contracted end date; there may be opportunities for conversion to permanent employment at the same grade. HealthShare NSW is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Waste Handler / Driver. In this role you will play a vital part in ensuring the comfort and wellbeing of patients in our hospital. Your tasks will include collecting waste from all streams from the disposal rooms and storage areas and transporting it through a truck or tug to the collection and processing points. Waste streams include general waste, recyclables, clinical and related wastes and soiled linen. This position is also responsible for maintaining the waste area, vehicles, and equipmentincluding binsin a clean and tidy state. Qualifications Class C NSW Driver''s Licence required. Shifts are on a rotating roster across various shifts; you will need to be available from 7:30am to 4pm on a 7day basis.
