We are the Northern Territorys premier cultural and scientific institution, with over 300,000 visitors each year, we are known for our collections and expertise in Aboriginal cultures, natural sciences, histories, and arts across Northern and Central Australia and our neighbours to the north. About the Role Working in a small team the Human Resources Officer assists to deliver administrative and operational people practices that enhance the employee experience across our MAGNT sites. You will assist people leaders to implement effective people practices across the Employment Lifecycle, initially with a focus on Payroll, People Analytics, Remuneration & Benefits and Worker Health & Safety. There will also be the need to get involved in other components of the employment life cycle, for example, Recruitment when needed. This is an evolving role and team, so we need someone who can flex with the needs of MAGNT, a safe pair of hands who can deliver on the day-to-day people needs, and who is keen to learn and contribute more as we learn and evolve. What we offer We are paying a market competitive base salary plus super, with free on-site staff parking. Located on beautiful Larrakia Country at Bullocky Point, set in a scenic location overlooking the Arafura Sea, our purposebuilt museum and art gallery, with an on-site caf and gift shop, both offering staff discounts. Relocation expenses will be on offer if the preferred candidate is intrastate/interstate. Timeframes This is a maternity leave backfill with a desired midFebruary 2026 start date, up to the end of October 2026. So time is of the essence.
