Onsite Caretaker - Over 50''s Independent Living Village Riverlands Village - Sunshine Coast Accommodation provided (1 bedroom Unit) - In Lieu of Wages. Riverlands Village is a welcoming, caring and supportive over 50''s independent living community. We are seeking a mature and reliable onsite and community-minded caretaker to assist with the upkeep and daily operations of the village''s common areas. What we offer 1 bedroom unfurnished onsite unit with air conditioning. Accommodation provided in exchange for agreed caretaking duties. A friendly, supportive community and varied, interesting role. About the Role The caretaker will work alongside the Village Administrator, Maintenance Officer, Gardeners and cleaners to ensure the smooth running of the village. We are looking for someone who communicates professionally with residents, co-workers and contractors, demonstrates flexibility, adaptability and is willing to take on a diverse range of responsibilities. Is self-motivated with strong attention to detail, demonstrates complete trustworthiness and integrity, contributing to the safety and confidence of the community. Has a strong work ethic and a positive, community-focused approach. Key Responsibilities Unlocking and locking the community hall daily. Patio and outdoor areas are cleaned and presentable each day. Monitoring compliance with village by-laws and reporting any breaches to the committee. Checking street and community lighting and replacing bulbs when required. Inspecting carports and pathways, ensuring they remain clean, safe and free of debris, including the removal of dead foliage. Cleaning refuse bins and ensuring they are placed in the correct locations on collection days. Maintaining the community pool, including chemical administration, water level checks, vacuuming and general cleaning. Recording the Unitywater meter readings at least three times per week.
