Join our team as a Water Meter Reader! Perfect for detail-oriented individuals who enjoy working independently and outdoors. About the role: The Meter Reader position involves driving to the start of an allocated route/s and then moving on foot from location to location reading and logging data from water meters into a hand-held device for commercial and domestic properties throughout the Unitywater contract area. We are offering casual positions initially with the potential to go full-time for the right candidate. Candidates would ideally reside within the Moreton Bay or Sunshine Coast Region and should be comfortable working outdoors in all types of weather conditions and terrain, walking between 10km and 30km per day. This is a very physically demanding position where we work towards tight deadlines to deliver a high level of service standards. What you will bring to the role: Must have a valid driver''s license and reliable vehicle Physically fit and able to walk 10-30 km daily in all weather conditions Strong focus on safety, reliability and meeting deadlines Comfortable entering properties (including those with animals safely) High attention to detail with excellent customer service skills Willing to complete police check, medical and drug/alcohol screening Available to work between 5 7 hours/day (weekdays) Previous meter reading experience would be considered highly desirable The successful applicants will receive: Full training provided Company uniform provided Rewarding and challenging job 11 week on 2 week off cycle roster (Monday to Friday) Access to Employee Assist Program (EAP) Discounted Health Cover To be considered for an interview Your cover letter must confirm that you have watched our video ETS Water Meter Reading and include a one-sentence response to the question What does Keith say is great about being a Meter Reader?
