Electrify your future.About the roleAGL is undergoing one of the most significant transitions in the Australian energy sector, and we''re looking for a Strategy Manager to help shape what comes next. As part of the Corporate Strategy team, the Strategy Manager will play a pivotal role in defining the pathways that will guide AGL through a rapidly evolving energy landscape. Reporting directly to the Head of Strategy, you''ll work at the heart of the organisation partnering with senior leaders, influencing major decisions, and driving strategic clarity across the business.The successful candidate will have a proven track record in strategy development, building trusting relationships with senior leaders, leading crossfunctional projects and collaborating effectively at all levels to turn strategy into action.What you''ll be doing :You''ll take ownership of highimpact strategic work that informs AGL''s longterm direction and supports enterprisewide decisionmaking, including:Developing deep market intelligence to assess industry shifts, competitive dynamics, regulatory changes, and emerging technologiesIdentifying, evaluating, and shaping potential growth pathways for AGL across existing and new marketsBuilding and assessing strategic scenarios to support longterm planning and enterprise decisionmakingPlanning and managing the internal and external processes for developing and reporting against corporate strategyLeading highimpact strategic projects from framing through to recommendation, working crossfunctionally with teams across the businessPreparing insights, recommendations, and strategic narratives for executive and boardlevel audiencesWhat we''re looking for :You''ll combine strong analytical capability with strategic and commercial acumen, and the ability to influence at all levels.Experience gained in corporate strategy, management consulting, investment banking, or a related analytical fieldA master''s degree in business, economics, finance or a related fieldStrong strategic problemsolving skills complemented by the ability to translate complex information into clear insights and compelling recommendationsDemonstrated experience in market analysis, scenario development, market sizing, opportunity assessment and financial modellingExperience leading crossfunctional initiatives and influencing stakeholders at all levelsCuriosity, commercial acumen, and a passion for shaping the future of energy in AustraliaExposure to the energy sector highly regardedInclusion at AGLAt AGL, we value diversity and welcome applicants from various backgrounds, including Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples, individuals with disabilities, culturally diverse individuals, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
