East Pilbara Independence Support (EPIS) is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Officer in Newman! This role is Fulltime (Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm) About Us EPIS has been delivering a wide range of outpatient aged care and support services to the most vulnerable members of Newman and surrounding communities for over twenty years. These services include day centre support, home care, cottage respite and are delivered by our multidisciplinary team. This role will involve travel to our satellite locations of Tom Price and Marble Bar. Responsibilities of the role include: Undertake routine preventative maintenance and respond promptly to reactive maintenance requirements (e.g. changing light globes, minor repairs, servicing taps) Liaise with external contractors as required, obtain quotes for completion of skilled repairs e.g. electrical Ensure lawn and garden maintenance tasks are completed throughout EPIS Newman facilities (mowing, whipper snipping, minor pruning, etc.) Oversee and where applicable supervise the activities of contractors and tradesperson works Ensure the maintenance of the vehicle fleet (weekly prestarts and car washing) Attendance at satellite locations as required. What we are looking for: Prior experience as a maintenance officer / handyperson Ability to use general power tools Comprehensive understanding of WHS and risk management principles WA Driver''s license and ability to drive 4WD vehicles.
