Armesto''s Transport is a large privately owned and operated family business based at Beerwah on the Sunshine Coast.We seek to appoint a dynamic and experienced Transport Operations Allocator to join our business.You will be responsible for the allocation, coordination and management of a large fleet of interstate linehaul Bdoubles that travel on the East Coast of Australia and the major cities in between.Key ResponsibilitiesDriver allocationDriver managementFinding loads and creating new businessCommunicating with customers regarding freight requirements and delivery requestsCoordinating repairs and breakdownsMonitoring drivers, fatigue, road safety, compliance and delivery deadlinesUsing GPS to allocate and monitor drivers for NHVR compliance and ETAsUsing Seeing Machine Technology to monitor driver fatigue and distractionSupervising staff, identifying issues and problems, and addressing themCompleting admin duties encompassing this roleWorking with the other operations team to ensure smooth daytoday running of the businessThis role is Monday to Sunday with various permanent shifts and alternating halfday Saturday morning for one shift.Salary varies depending on the shift performed or duties undertaken.QualificationsExtensive experience in the transport industryMC licence a distinct advantageSound mechanical knowledgePrevious experience supervising a minimum of 100 prime movers and 130 staffSound knowledge of transport rules and regulationsBasic Fatigue Management Accreditation (Schedulers)Excellent phone mannerProficient in use of Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookKnowledge of load restraint and freight loadingHonesty and integrityThe ability to work in a fastpaced environment independently and as part of a teamThe ability to lead and take charge in difficult situationsPunctuality and professionalismVast geographical knowledge of the East Coast of AustraliaBenefitsLive and work on the beautiful Sunshine CoastLongterm job stabilityAttractive salary packageImmediate start for successful applicantApplicants with transport experience preferredOnly apply if you have the relevant experience for this role and the right to work in Australia. #J-18808-Ljbffr
