Tropico Fruits Pty Ltd is based on the beautiful Sunshine Coast and is a long established 40-year-old food manufacturing business renowned for manufacturing quality fruit juices and purees, and value-added fruit preparations. About the Role QC Lab Officer required for a busy established food processor, immediate start for our busy season. We are looking for a QC Lab Officer to support our Quality Assurance team on a casual basis. You will play a critical part in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety for our premium products. With a focus on continuous improvement, you will work closely with our QA Manager and production teams to identify and resolve any quality issues. What youll be doing Micro plating of products using OSA and MEA agar Collection of samples for PQA assessment Entering products into the QMS for micro and sensory attributes Creation of COAs Release of products after plating through our QMS system Review of SLE of raw materials and finished goods when required Review of daily production records Completion of inline magnet findings using IAuditor daily and filing Completion of IAuditor Daily Checklist, Scissor and Knife check and filing Incoming fruit assessments Management of retention samples (entering into register and rotation of products as they expire) Making the MEA & OSA agar Monthly calibration of thermometers across site Calibration of the pH meter and refractometer Maintaining quantity of lab supplies (agar, cups, plates, consumables) About You Experience with micro plating and lab techniques in a similar role Experience in a manufacturing or operations role, ideally supporting both production and warehousing Sound understanding of quality assurance (QA), quality control (QC), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Ideally, strong system & technology skills Strong attention to detail with a practical, logical approach to problemsolving Proactive, wellorganised, and motivated Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external partners A proactive mindset and a commitment to food safety and quality #J-18808-Ljbffr
