The Role We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the on-site delivery of a new utilityscale PV (Solar) and BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) project in Baddaginnie, Victoria. This is a fulltime position for the duration of the project (2530 weeks), with a strong opportunity to transition into a permanent role upon completion. Local accommodation, living away from home allowance plus vehicle allowance and fuel costs. Reporting to senior project leadership, you will work closely with site supervisors, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure project success. Key Responsibilities Site Leadership: Provide daily oversight of all construction, installation, and testing activities. Strategic Oversight: Chair weekly production meetings with supervisors to communicate strategy and targets. Operational Control: Run daily prestart meetings with all site personnel. Performance Management: Monitor contractor performance and oversee the work of supervisors, employees, and subcontractors. Project Health: Identify program slippage and keep the Project Manager informed of delays or breaches of contract. HSEQ & Compliance: Manage the site HSEQ system, maintain safety standards, and ensure all specifications and regulations are followed. Mentorship: Supervise assistant managers and superintendents, reviewing their reports and correcting any deficiencies or safety violations. About You To be successful in this role, you will bring a blend of technical expertise and leadership integrity. Experience At least 3 years in Construction Management or a similar senior sitebased role. Sector Knowledge Proven experience delivering major greenfield infrastructure, preferably utilityscale renewable energy. Safety Mindset Strong awareness of HSE practices, testing processes, and construction compliance. Qualifications Must hold a construction industry White Card and a Telehandler License. Candidates must have existing Australian work authorisation to be considered for this position.
