The College is looking for an educator who is passionate about delivering an inclusive, engaging, and holistic learning experience for Year 9 students within an interdisciplinary curriculum.Established in 2023, St Aloysius College, Rozelle offers a tailored educational program designed to support young men during the critical middle years of adolescence. The Rozelle Learning Framework provides Year 9 students with real-world learning that encourages curiosity and space for student voice and choice, promoting academic excellence while supporting cura personalis, grounded in the Jesuit tradition.The successful candidate will be a Science specialist with capacity to teach across an integrated program. Your ApplicationThe successful candidate will demonstrate:Commitment to the mission of Catholic education of boys in the Jesuit tradition;An understanding of the educational needs of boys and young men;Appropriate secondary teaching qualifications, specifically Science and eligibility to teach under the requirements of NSW legislation and College policy;Proven experience teaching Stage 4 and 5 Science is essential;Demonstrate an interest or prior involvement in STEM initiatives is advantageous, though not essential;Proven experience or demonstrate the capacity to teach an interdisciplinary curriculum is essential;Ability to create a positive, supportive and engaging classroom climate that meets the academic, social and emotional needs of all students;Ability to design, implement and evaluate curriculum collaboratively in accordance with College and NESA syllabus guidelines and outcomes;Proven ability to ensure teaching and learning activities reflect contemporary pedagogy, including the ability to integrate an inquiry-based approach to teaching and learning and differentiation strategies;Possess a valid Working with Children Check.
