About the role We are looking for a Core Shed Technician on a casual basis to facilitate the optimum processing of drill core from drilling programs by completing all manual or other associated activities and tasks as required or delegated while ensuring adherence to all statutory requirements and company safety, health and environmental standards and procedures. Core responsibilities Preparation of core for logging. Cutting core, sampling core, and managing sample delivery and requirements to onsite laboratory. Loading and unloading core manually and with a forklift. Assisting in the management, storage and disposal of core in the core shed and core yard. Data entry and record keeping. Assist with various duties to maintain daily running and housekeeping of the core shed. Assisting in other duties as required. Requirements for the role Year 10 secondary education or above. Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel. Preferably have a forklift licence and experience. Whilst not essential, previous working experience in an operational mine, especially in a core shed, is desirable. The ideal candidate will be able to work, both unsupervised and as part of a team whilst demonstrating strong communication and organisational skills, enabling them to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
