As a prison officer, you play a crucial part in a persons rehabilitation journey and ensure the safety and security of the facility. Its your life experience that counts in this job. You must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or hold Australian permanent residency. You also need to hold an Australian drivers licence (minimum P2). NEW $8,000 signon bonus New prison officers at are now eligible for a bonus of up to $8,000. Six months after commencing, you will receive a payment of $4,000. Then, after one years fulltime employment, you will receive an additional payment of $4,000. Whats in it for you Earn up to $91,202 with a base salary of $63,469 plus penalty rates and overtime Annual salary increases, 5 weeks annual leave, 3 weeks personal leave and provisions for study leave 41 days comprehensive paid training (full time) Complete a Certificate III in Correctional Practice (Adult Custodial) which, when completed, increases your base salary Relocation assistance of up to $10,000 if youre moving from more than 100km away.
