Ventia has over 35 years experience working with Defence and has been delivering Firefighting Services for 26 years. With a new contract awarded in 2024 for 6 years and up to two additional 2year extensionsnow is the time to join Ventias dedicated Fire Services Team. We are currently seeking a Firefighter to join the Fire and Rescue operations in Nowra. About the role This exciting position will see you work as part of a team of Firefighters who are responsible for responding to incidents including airfield, structural and bushfire management. You will perform duties as directed by the Station & SubStation Officers including but not limited to: Maintaining operational readiness in accordance with relevant procedures. Ensuring that all relevant administrative duties associated with operational duties are performed. Complying with operational health and safety requirements. Undertaking training and drills as required to maintain operational readiness. The position will require the successful applicant to work on an early/late roster cycle. Special conditions To be eligible for this role, you must be able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance up to a level of negative vetting 1 (secret). As a result of this requirement the incumbent must be an Australian Citizen, be able to pass an Australian Federal Police check and successfully pass a CASA Basic Class 2 preemployment medical.
