Brief Description SPC CASUAL PRODUCTION OPERATORS 2026 HARVEST SEASON SPC is an iconic food manufacturer with a 100-year commitment to playing a positive role in the Australian economy and manufacturing industry. Our manufacturing and distribution site is located in Shepparton in Victorias beautiful Goulburn Valley region. Each year SPC offers a number of Casual Production Operator roles during the peak fruit processing season. The availability and duration of the work is dictated by crop harvests, which means there may be times when the work is plentiful and also times when there may be fewer shifts, however, when rostered on, employees are required to work 8-hour shifts and this can at times be up to 7 days a week in the peak of the season. The work typically commences mid December and continues through to April. Our Shifts Include Day Shift (7:00am 3:00pm) Afternoon Shift (3:00pm 11:00pm) Night Shift (11:00pm 7:00am) Although there are more work opportunities if you are available across all shifts, you can select your preferred shift. Role Casual Production Operator employment includes a wide variety of roles and some of the work you may be asked to do includes: Inspecting, sorting and trimming fruit by hand Operating manual and automatic machinery Lifting, pushing and pulling product in containers, pallets or bins Cleaning machinery by hand or pressure hose using food grade cleaning agents Performing laboratory and quality control work Suitably qualified people may operate forklifts or complex processing equipment Other Points For You To Consider Are That You may be required to stand for long periods of time and complete repetitive work Some people have experienced motion sickness when working in the inspection, sorting and trimming areas, travel sickness medication is recommended for this The casual work we offer is seasonal and dependent on crops and site conditions, which include weather and production needs. Due to the nature of this and our business, candidates may not be guaranteed a commencement or volume of work.
