Job Description

Assistant Vice President - Energy, Materials and Infrastructure, CBAPJoin SMBC Group in a pivotal role within the Energy, Materials and Infrastructure team, reporting to the Vice President of the Corporate Banking Department. You will conduct detailed credit and ESG analysis for institutional clients, prepare credit applications, negotiate facility documentation, manage loan administration, and support corporate banking transactions.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver detailed credit, ESG and financial analysis of institutional customers and potential deals.Perform financial modeling and cashflow analysis to support credit decisions.Prepare applications for credit and ESG approval, and manage negotiation and execution of facility documentation.Negotiate and execute loan and ISDA documentation in collaboration with relationship managers and senior leadership.Service clients daytoday needs within the EMI Australia team.Assist the Head of EMI and relationship managers with transaction origination, flowbanking initiatives, and client meeting reports.Maintain ongoing credit compliance and administrative oversight of the EMI portfolio.Qualifications5+ years experience as an Assistant Relationship Manager or Credit Analyst, preferably in a bank or financial institutions deal origination team.Good understanding of institutional banking products and services.Strong financial statement analysis and modelling skills.In-depth knowledge of credit processes and banking administration.Excellent numeracy, analytical, and organizational abilities.Effective influencing skills, both written and verbal.Capable of presenting complex information clearly in reports and presentations.Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Tertiary qualification in a businessrelated field.BenefitsGreat Place to Work Certified culture that values contribution.Competitive parental leave.Gold membership in Women in Banking and Finance (WIBF), offering events and professional development.Me Time: 2 paid hours each month for personal wellbeing.Comprehensive insurance package for permanent employees.Social Contribution Leave: one paid day per year to volunteer.SMBC: where you can be yourself, make a difference, and build your career. #J-18808-Ljbffr
