About The Role With an exciting brownfields hard-rock mining project on the horizon, were seeking experienced Mine Surveyors & Senior Surveyors. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for surveying the mining area to support mine planning and production activity. Located nearby Southern Cross, these roles are offered on a FIFO 8 / 6 roster from Perth or DIDO roster from surrounding towns. Responsibilities Perform surveys for stockpile volumes, endofmonth pickups, ore block layouts, mining asbuilts, waste dump construction, and cavity monitoring, as well as producing detailed plans and maps. Conduct timely pickups and prepare reports for all excavations. Install and maintain survey control points across pits, ramps, crests, and toes. Accurately enter survey data into relevant systems and databases. Produce required documentation, including digging notes, drill and development plans, and traffic / emergency maps. Review and submit survey reports. Maintain survey accuracy and compliance through regular control checks and updates. Qualifications Bachelor''s degree in surveying, spatial (or geospatial) science. Experience in an open pit mining environment. Proven and effective people management skills. Effective problem solving skills. Able to act as a strong and positive example to the workforce.
