Be a key driver in delivering a modern digital client journey that will transform outcomes for thousands of Western Australian families. This senior technical role requires a handson leader who can architect robust solutions, champion engineering excellence, and deliver secure, highperformance technology in a collaborative Agile environment. The current vacancy is 37.5 hours per week.Core ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership & Architecture: Design and implement scalable, secure architectural frameworks and DevOps pipelines to support rapid delivery. Lead the development and deployment of highquality digital solutions, ensuring excellent user experience, performance, and maintainability. Mentor and guide technical team members, fostering a culture of engineering excellence and continuous improvement.Strategic Delivery & Value Creation: Drive the delivery of tangible business value through iterative deployments and measurable improvements. Operate as a key contributor within an Agile team, balancing autonomous decisionmaking with collaborative product discovery.Quality and Continuous Improvement: Utilise evidencebased management techniques to guide technical decisions and measure success. Monitor and analyse Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to drive datadriven improvements. Foster transparency through clear communication and open reporting on team progress, achievements, and learnings.Team & Culture Contributions: Champion agile practices and foster an environment of psychological safety, creativity, and experimentation. Support consensusbased decisions grounded in evidence and expertise. Uphold organisational values: Authenticity, Inclusivity, Compassion, and Excellence.Qualifications EducationBachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.Qualifications ExperienceMinimum 5 years experience in a Tech Lead or similar leadership role, and at least 15 years of handson software engineering experience.Proven experience with modern application stacks (e.g., Next.js, TypeScript, FastAPI, PostgreSQL) and DevOps practices. Experience mentoring technical teams and delivering highvalue solutions in Agile environments.Key Selection Criteria KnowledgeDeep understanding of Agile methodologies, product discovery, and evidencebased management. Expertise in architectural frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and fullstack adaptability. Understanding of data science and machine learning principles is highly regarded.Key Selection Criteria Skills and ExperienceDemonstrated ability to deliver tangible value within short timeframes. Strategic autonomy and the ability to align technical decisions with organisational strategy.
