About the role Do you want a role where your presence truly matters? As a Casual After Hours Support Worker at The Salvation Armys Sunrise Centre in Berrimah, youll be the steady hand and compassionate heart that ensures the safety and wellbeing of clients and staff outside business hours. Working alongside another team member, youll provide support, lifestyle activities, emotional and wellbeing response, and practical assistance to maintain a safe and welcoming environment. This includes contributing to the overall cleanliness of the facilities and assisting with kitchen duties to ensure the centre runs smoothly. Every shift is an opportunity to make a difference in someones life. This is a casual position based at the Sunrise Centre, Berrimah, NT, with salary and conditions in accordance with the SCHADS Award Level 3. How you will make an impact Be a trusted presence for clients, ensuring continuity of care and clear communication for handover Build strong, respectful relationships that encourage self-determination and positive outcomes Respond calmly and promptly to emergencies, safeguarding residents and staff Assist clients with medication and alcohol testing in line with policy and care plans Support clients in accessing services and community networks, advocating where needed Maintain accurate records and identify opportunities to improve service delivery Contribute to the upkeep of facilities and assist with, to maintain a high level of cleanliness throughout the facility including kitchen to ensure a safe, welcoming environment. Actively and positively engage with participants through activities that promote wellbeing, inclusivity, and connection.
