We are looking for a Motor Mechanic to join Innisfail Motors Group, a locally operated automotive business in Innisfail, Queensland that provides vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs to private and commercial customers.About the RoleAs a Motor Mechanic, you will diagnose, repair, service, and maintain light vehicles to ensure safety, performance, and customer satisfaction. Salary ranges from $75,000 to $80,000 per annum, plus superannuation, dependent on experience.ResponsibilitiesDiagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults in petrol and diesel vehicles using diagnostic equipment and systematic fault-finding techniques.Carry out routine servicing, repairs, and maintenance on engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension, steering, and cooling systems.Dismantle, repair, replace, and reassemble mechanical components in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.Conduct vehicle inspections to assess roadworthiness and identify current or potential mechanical issues.Test and adjust repaired vehicles to ensure faults have been rectified and vehicles operate safely and efficiently.Interpret service manuals, technical bulletins, and diagnostic data to complete repairs accurately.Maintain accurate service records, job cards, and repair documentation.Ensure all work complies with workplace health and safety requirements and environmental regulations.Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workshop tools, equipment, and work areas.Communicate clearly with supervisors and service advisors regarding repair requirements and completion timelines.RequirementsCertificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualification.Minimum of one year postqualification experience working as a Motor Mechanic in a commercial automotive workshop environment.Minimum of one year experience diagnosing and repairing petrol and diesel engines, including braking, suspension, steering, and cooling systems.Minimum of one year experience working with automotive electrical and electronic systems using diagnostic and scan tools.Minimum of one year experience interpreting manufacturer service manuals, technical specifications, and repair procedures.Minimum of one year experience conducting vehicle inspections, assessing roadworthiness, and performing fault rectification.Must have at least one year experience working with Intercontinental, European and Asian car makes.Must have at least one year experience with Hybrid and EV vehicles.Strong problemsolving, organisational, and timemanagement skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.Commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship, and professional conduct.Valid Australian driver''s licence.Seniority LevelEntry levelEmployment TypeFulltimeJob FunctionEngineering and Information TechnologyIndustriesHuman Resources Services #J-18808-Ljbffr
