POSITION : CABINET MAKER Location : Winnellie, NT Type : Full-time Pay : $65,200 to $75,000 per year Company : 4 Kitchens Position Summary As a Cabinetmaker, you will fabricate, assemble, and install bespoke cabinetry, wardrobes, counters, and fittings using wood, laminates, and engineered products. This skilled trade position (ANZSCO , Skill Level 3) requires precision, technical expertise, and a commitment to quality. You will work in a collaborative environment, utilizing modern tools and CAD / CNC technology to bring client visions to life. This is a handson role ideal for a qualified tradesperson passionate about woodworking and joinery. Key Responsibilities Examine drawings, work orders, and sample parts to determine specifications and ensure compliance with project requirements. Select and work with a range of materials, including timber, veneers, particle board, synthetic wood, laminates, and other engineered wood products. Program and operate computer-aided design (CAD) and computer numerical control (CNC) machines to mark out, cut, and shape components accurately. Mark out, cut, and shape wood and materials using hand tools, power tools, and machinery to produce high-precision elements. Assemble prepared components to construct furniture, cabinetry, wardrobes, and fittings according to detailed drawings and specifications. Finish surfaces by applying varnishes, paints, polishes, and other treatments to achieve a professional, durable result. Install cabinetry, kitchens, bathrooms, and wardrobes onsite, ensuring secure and aesthetic integration with existing structures. Repair and maintain furniture and fittings as needed, troubleshooting issues to uphold quality standards. Collaborate with designers, installers, and project managers to meet deadlines and client expectations. Adhere to workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations, including the safe use of tools and equipment. Essential Requirements AQF Certificate III in Cabinet Making (or equivalent, such as a relevant trade qualification from overseas, subject to TRA skills assessment). At least 3 years of fulltime, relevant postqualification experience as a Cabinetmaker, including handson fabrication and installation. Proficiency in using CAD / CNC software, woodworking machinery (e.g., saws, routers, sanders), and hand tools. Strong knowledge of materials, joinery techniques, and finishing methods. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Physical fitness to handle heavy materials and work in workshop and onsite environments. Excellent attention to detail, problemsolving skills, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship. Current driver''s license and right to work in Australia (or eligibility for visa sponsorship).
