You will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with complex mental health presentations in the general hospital setting and across multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities - Provide specialist psychiatric care and expert consultation across hospital and community settings - Provide psychiatric assessments and treatment recommendations - Lead care planning and collaborate with medical, nursing, and allied health professionals - Drive continuous quality improvement and uphold the highest standards of patient safety - Mentor trainee medical officers and contribute to education programs - Collaborate with medical teams to optimise patient outcomes - Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and trainees Qualifications To be eligible for this position you must hold a MBBS or equivalent, appropriate specialist qualifications, and be registrable with the Medical Board of as a Medical Practitioner with specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award.
