Our client, a large Federal Government Organisation, whose focus is on foreign signals intelligence, military operations, cyber warfare and information security, are seeking the experience of Server Engineer. Duties of the Server Engineer Design, implement and maintain Windows Server and Active Directory environments in support of migrating workloads to a new Active Directory Forest in a sensitive and high-availability environment, following all relevant policies and procedures; Design, implement and maintain VMware virtualisation infrastructure; Implement security remediation and uplift in accordance with the departments and Darwin based organisations requirements; Implement and utilise various monitoring, vulnerability, and fault analysis tools to troubleshoot and optimize operating environments; Install, customise, and maintain Windows server operating systems and server hardware to meet client needs and in accordance with service level expectations; Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems in consultation with clients, staff, external service providers and vendors; Create documentation to support the Darwin based organisations operating environments, including architecture and as-built-as-configured documentation; Work closely with the Darwin based organisations stakeholders and systems owners across multi-disciplinary teams; Carry out duties in accordance with Darwin based organisations safety, environmental and quality policies, safety principles, corporate values, and strategies. Skills and Experience Required Ability to implement and manage Windows Server and Active Directory; Knowledge performing Active Directory migrations in high-availability environments; Demonstrated knowledge and experience implementing and managing VMware virtualisation infrastructure; High attention to detail with good communication skills with stakeholders and clients and experienced in technical writing; Ability to carry out duties in accordance with the Darwin based organisations safety, environmental and quality policies and corporate values and strategies. Sound understanding of Information Management Infrastructure Library (ITIL); Familiarity with operational technology environments and their unique constraints; Industry certifications or equivalents: AZ-800 & AZ-801 / MCSA / MCSE / VCP-DCV.
