Apply for the Operator Maintainer position at Shell Energy Australia. About the role Based at our Condamine Power Station, were looking for an Operator Maintainer who is proactive, reliable, and ready to hit the ground running. Youll work on a 7on, 7off roster, ensuring the site runs smoothly and safely. Key responsibilities Participate in a formal callout roster to provide 24hour coverage for operation and maintenance requirements. Monitor Gas Turbine HMI ensuring compliance with setpoint target and operational mode compliance. Monitor plant condition, identifying and reporting on defective plant and equipment and rectifying problems where required. Carry out, or where applicable supervise contractors carrying out, maintenance of plant and equipment. Maintain up to date knowledge and skills of all relevant Health and Safety practices and procedures and relevant legislative requirements (e.g. Resource Consents, Electricity regulations). Liaise with external organisations and services as required to meet daytoday operational requirements including Powerlink, AEMO, APA and Shell Energy Traders from time to time. Plan, schedule, action and document authorisations for maintenance work as required. Maintain accurate, uptodate and timely records of all key operational events, plant history and maintenance records. Compile asset team daily/weekly workpackages and plan all plant outages. Coordinate the work requirements for routine and opportunity maintenance, plant modification and installation. Assist in identifying resourcing requirements for planned work packages. Compile information, data to generate reports for operational and compliance requirements. Interact with Government Departments and thirdparty companies to ensure station compliance. What youll need to thrive Experience operating or maintaining gas turbines and auxiliary equipment (desirable). Strong ability to perform under pressure and make sound, commercial decisions. Solid understanding of complex operational processes and plant systems. A collaborative approach with the ability to build positive team relationships. Excellent communication, listening and interpersonal skills. Effective time management, organisation and the ability to navigate challenging situations. Qualifications & Licenses Industrial or Generation experience (Desirable). Mechanical or Electrical qualification considered (Electrical with I&C Qualification Desirable). Confined space. Motor Vehicle License. HV Switching Qualification. Certificate III or IV in Generation/Operations (Optional). Boiler Advance (Class BA) (Advantage). Turbine Operation (Class OT) (Advantage).
