Australia remains a core strategic market and requires a seasoned, commercial and mission-driven leader to run the national business and accelerate growth. Context for the Role With both Co-Founders and Co-CEOs now based in the United States to lead Anyways global expansion, the Australian business requires a senior, highly capable leader to assume full local responsibility for our existing group of assets and to launch and scale the Anyway brand domestically. This includes operational and commercial oversight of our established Australian portfolio (Year13, Career Tools, Good Universities Guide, Good Schools Guide, ACIR and Student Edge) while unifying these assets under the new Anyway ecosystem. The Managing Director will ensure these brands operate cohesively, deliver against their commercial and impact objectives, and transition into the next stage of integrated growth under the global strategy. Simultaneously, this role leads the launch and national growth of Anyway Australia, creating a single, powerful market presence that leverages a decade of youth insight, trusted school relationships, national brand equity and emerging AI-powered product capability. The MD becomes the senior leader for Australia, responsible for market performance, team leadership, partner relationships and execution excellence across the entire portfolio. Role Overview The Managing Director, Australia holds full responsibility for the Australian P&L, market growth, and team leadership across three distinct commercial and operational functions: 1. Student Marketing & Youth Community Growing the Australian student audience and building a vibrant youth community through creator content, lifecycle marketing, youth campaigns and brand storytelling. This is the foundational engine of the business, as strong student engagement drives all partner value. 2. Industry & Media Partnerships Selling partnerships to employers, brands and industry bodies, enabling them to educate young people about their sector, build skills awareness, and drive genuine consideration. This includes integrated content, digital media, research, creator campaigns, events and platform activations aligned to talent pipeline and workforce needs. 3. Public Sector Partnerships Selling to schools, education systems and government bodies to deliver contemporary career education solutions, curriculum-aligned learning experiences and large-scale programs that improve student engagement, pathways decision-making and workforce outcomes. The MD ensures each engine grows independently and operates cohesively as one unified team delivering outcomes for young people. Key Responsibilities 1. Lead Three Independent but Connected Business Lines A. Student Marketing & Youth Community (B2C / Youth Growth) Oversee national student audience growth and engagement. Lead lifecycle marketing, content strategy, creators, student campaigns and community experiences. Ensure the youth-facing brand is culturally relevant, trusted and resonant with Gen Z and Gen Alpha. Manage the youth marketing, B2C growth and creative teams. B. Industry & Media (B2B) Oversee partner acquisition and account management across employers, brands and industry bodies. Scale the Media product and integrated youth engagement campaigns. Build a strong pipeline across key verticals related to the school-to-work transition. Ensure high-quality delivery across content, creators, digital media, research, events and platform activations. Lead the B2B sales, marketing and CSM teams to deliver partner ROI. C. Public Sector & Schools (B2G / B2E) Lead national strategy for schools, state departments and the federal government. Grow school adoption of the Anyway platform and learning modules. Build strong relationships with educators, principals and system leaders. Develop and deliver workforce development partnerships with government and education agencies. Manage a dedicated public sector sales and delivery team with distinct KPIs, rhythms and outcomes. 2. Commercial Growth & P&L Ownership Own annual revenue targets across B2B and B2G. Set clear commercial strategies for each business line, balancing short-term momentum with long-term value creation. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, performance dashboards and financial discipline. Ensure operational excellence and quality partner delivery across Industry and Public Sector teams. Directly manage Australias leadership team Build high-performance, specialised teams with clear mandates and accountability. Bring teams together under a united youth-first mission. Foster a culture of ownership, pace, creativity and meaningful impact for young people. Ensure strong cross-functional alignment with global product, sales, marketing, brand, research, data and operations teams. 3. Strategic Positioning & Ecosystem Leadership Position Anyway as Australias leading youth careers and pathways platform. Act as a senior representative with employers, industry bodies, government, education leaders, media and partners. Shape national narratives around skills development, youth transitions and workforce shortages. Be the connective tissue between schools, government and employers ensuring Australia becomes a flagship for global scale. Proven success running or scaling multi-line P&L businesses with B2B and/or B2G revenue. Deep experience with digital media sales, marketing partnerships and integrated solutions. Strong knowledge of education systems, school markets, VET and public sector procurement, ideally with direct experience selling into high schools. Demonstrated success building and managing specialised teams across sales, marketing, public sector and delivery.
