Nurse Unit Manager (Level 2) - Inpatient Unit Acute - Macksville District Hospital NSW Health Employment type: Permanent Full Time Position Classification: Nurse Unit Manager Level 2 Remuneration: $137,104.41 Hours Per Week: 38 Requisition ID: REQ624836 Advertising Closes: 2 February 2026 About the Role This role provides strong management and clinical leadership to the team, ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient and high-quality nursing and clinical care. You will uphold and promote standards of practice that align with current nursing guidelines and the policies and procedures of the Mid North Coast Local Health District. In this position, you will guide staff, support bestpractice care, and contribute to a positive, patientfocused clinical environment. This is a fulltime permanent role based at Macksville District Hospital. About You You are a dedicated nursing professional with current registration through the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and can bring highlevel operational and clinical management expertise, with the ability to effectively coordinate unit and service activities in a dynamic healthcare environment. You have strong capability in managing human, physical and financial resources, ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently and within budget. You are an effective leader who thrives within multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration and guiding staff toward bestpractice outcomes. Your advanced written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills support you in building strong relationships and delivering clear, professional guidance. Technologically confident, you are proficient in a range of computer applications essential for contemporary clinical management. With a strong leadership style grounded in modern changemanagement methodologies, you maintain a forwardthinking approach and a sound understanding of current issues impacting the nursing profession.
