About us The Portable Long Service Authority (the Authority) is a selffunded statutory body established to administer the Long Service Benefits Portability Act 2018. The Act, together with the Long Service Benefits Portability Regulations 2020 provide a Portable Long Service Benefits Scheme. The Authority plays an important role in allowing workers in the community services, contract cleaning and security industries to build up long service benefits based on time in their industry rather than with a single employer. About the role The Senior Manager, Claims is a newly created leadership position that will shape the Authority''s claims strategy and operating model, ensuring readiness to deliver claims processing and benefit payments from 1 July 2026 and beyond. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will lead enterprisewide planning, risk management, and technology enablement during a period of significant transformation. This position is located in Bendigo but can also be carried out from our Melbourne office. Key aspects of the role include: Leading strategic planning and organisational readiness for claims implementation. Shaping claims policy, frameworks, and risk posture aligned with legislation and public sector values. Providing authoritative advice to the Executive and Governing Board on claims strategy and operational impacts. Driving technology transformation, ensuring new systems meet legislative and operational requirements. Building strong stakeholder relationships and influencing decisionmaking at the highest level. About you You are an experienced leader with a track record of delivering complex, organisationwide programs in regulatory or highintegrity environments. You bring: Strong strategic, analytical and decisionmaking capability within statutory frameworks. Proven experience leading major transformation initiatives, including technology implementations. Highly developed communication and influencing skills to engage senior stakeholders. Deep understanding of governance, compliance and risk management frameworks. Resilience and sound judgement in highpressure environments.
