The Wellbeing Leader is a senior member of our school-wide team, playing a critical role in leading and implementing student wellbeing programs at our Shepparton Campus. This role supports the engagement, safety and success of young people who have experienced trauma and who are disengaged, or at risk of disengaging, from mainstream education. $104K + Super + Salary Packaging Full-time, Ongoing Position Based at our Shepparton Campus Some travel required across Berry Street School campuses The Berry Street School is a specialist independent secondary school with campuses in Ballarat, Morwell, Narre Warren and Shepparton, offering the adapted Victorian Curriculum Years 710 and VCE VM / VPC at senior levels. Guided by the Berry Street Education Model (BSEM), we deliver trauma-informed teaching, individualised learning plans, small class sizes, therapeutic supports, and strong connections with families and community services. What You Will Be Doing Lead and oversee the Student Wellbeing Program at Shepparton Campus. Champion child safety, cultural safety and diversity across the school community. Drive the implementation and ongoing embedding of the Berry Street Education Model (BSEM). Build strong relationships with students, families / carers and external support networks to promote engagement and attendance. Support staff capability in trauma-informed practice, restorative approaches and wellbeing strategies. Lead and document adjustments for students under the NCCD, including IEPs, Focus Plans and wellbeing supports. Monitor and promote student wellbeing, engagement and participation. Support enrolments, transitions, Care Teams and Student Support Groups (SSGs). Contribute to the School Strategic Plan and Annual Implementation Plan. What You Will Bring Demonstrated experience in student wellbeing leadership within education or a welfare-based setting. Strong knowledge of trauma-informed practice, BSEM principles and engagement strategies. Proven ability to lead wellbeing initiatives and positively influence practice across a team. Excellent interpersonal, communication, coaching and mentoring skills. High level organisational and administrative capability, including documentation and reporting. A genuine commitment to child safety, inclusion and equity. Bachelor''s degree in Education, Social Work, Youth Work or Welfare (highly desirable). Applicants with a Diploma and 5+ years of relevant experience will also be considered. Experience in restorative practices, IEPs and wellbeing planning will be well regarded.
