Overview A unique leadership opportunity in a diverse perioperative service within a supportive regional hospital. Where you''ll be working Scott Memorial Hospital is a small district hospital located in the beautiful town of Scone, approximately 100km south of Tamworth. The hospital provides essential services including a busy Emergency Department, medical ward and maternity unit. Our staff are an integrated, close-knit team who work collaboratively to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Perioperative Suite 1 operating theatre 1bed anaesthetic bay 2bed Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU) Day Stay Unit with 4 recliner chairs What you''ll be doing As the Nurse Unit Manager Perioperative Services, you will lead and manage a skilled, tightknit team within a small but dynamic perioperative service. Key responsibilities Managing clinical and nonclinical morning shifts throughout the week Leadership and oversight of approximately 12 theatre lists per month Managing and rostering staff across instrument, circulating, anaesthetic and postanaesthetic nursing roles Supporting additional services including infusion unit (2 days per month) and preoperative and postoperative surgical wound clinic (twice per month) Ensuring safe, efficient and highquality perioperative care delivery About you We are seeking a passionate, dynamic and engaging Nurse Unit Manager who thrives in a smallteam environment.
