About the Role Hastings Toy Library is a nonprofit, community based organisation that provides a toy lending service to families in the Hastings & surrounds community. We offer a wide range of good quality educational, social and recreational toys that may be beyond the resources of the average family. Volunteer Responsibilities Assist with running a borrowing session once a week or fortnight during school terms. Help with the borrowing and returns of toys for a minimum of two hours per week or fortnight during school terms. Record all borrowing and returns using the online borrowing system. Check that all parts are included and that toys are clean before returning them to the shelves. Welcome and chat to members, recommend toys (if comfortable), process new toys and provide customer service. Undergo full training in toy library procedures. Requirements Over 18 years of age and willing to undergo a Working With Children Check. Comfortable in welcoming members and providing basic customer service. Commitment & Details Category: Community Services Commitment: Regular less than 6 months Type of Work: Administration & Office Management, Education & Training, Library Services, Marketing, Media & Communications Time Required: 2 hours per week or fortnight during school terms.
