Residential Aged Care | Franklin / Dover / Nubeena Permanent Position Huon Regional Care is a trusted, long-established aged care provider supporting older Tasmanians to live well with dignity, choice, and connection. We are now seeking an experienced Team Leader Kitchen & Catering to lead our kitchen and dining services within our residential homes. About the Role As the Team Leader Kitchen & Catering, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, ensuring residents receive nutritious, well-presented meals that reflect their preferences, cultural backgrounds, and clinical needs. Youll lead a supportive, person-centred team and play a key role in fostering a warm, respectful dining environment that enhances resident wellbeing. What Youll Do Lead and support kitchen and catering staff to deliver high-quality meals Oversee menu implementation, dietary needs and food safety requirements Maintain compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards and food safety programs Build positive relationships with residents and respond to feedback Champion a safe, hygienic, and collaborative workplace What Youll Bring Experience leading kitchen operations in aged care, healthcare, or similar settings Strong knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and safe food handling Understanding of nutrition and texture-modified diets for older people Effective leadership, communication, and team coordination skills Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) Current Safe Food Handling Certificate and WWVP Registration Desirable: training in aged-care nutrition, experience in CALD environments, First Aid.
