Job Overview The General Manager Utilities & Civil role at Design & Build Recruitment seeks an experienced leader to oversee a highperforming business unit in utilities and civil construction. The position engages in strategic management, growth, and delivery of exceptional service to clients specialising in ASP electrical upgrades and heavy infrastructure within tunnels. Whats on Offer $300k package + shortterm bonuses and profit share $100k bonus in the first year Future profitshare options Opportunity to lead and grow a successful business unit Key Responsibilities Managing delivery of Key Performance Indicators for the civil and utilities team. Performance management of all civil and utilities team members. Risk management of the portfolio and oversight to improve growth of the civil and utilities sector. Working closely with the Managing Director to achieve set targets. Business process mapping and reengineering of utilities upgrades, ASP and civil construction. Business development and financial growth of the overall business. Assisting with the pricing, tendering and winning of projects. Streamlining internal processes and introducing new software. Candidate Profile Demonstrated experience managing a highperforming team. Sound understanding of financial management, audit and taxation requirements. Business process reengineering experience. Tertiary qualifications in Civil, Electrical or Utilities preferred. Positive contributor and leader in company culture and team engagement. Identifying opportunities for business improvement across all areas. Experience with daytoday operation and overall management of common property for a portfolio of schemes. Project management and delivery of the companys strategic objectives relating to utilities and civil projects. Build and maintain business relationships with stakeholders to enhance reputation. Contribute to new business opportunities in conjunction with the Managing Director.
