What youll do LawYs product suite and customer base is growing, and so is our engineering team. As a handson, Senior fullstack Engineer youll partner closely with the broader LawY team to design and develop robust, scalable, and efficient web applications. Youll contribute to architectural decisions and build solutions that are well designed, built, implemented and youll understand the "why" and "what for". We have an ambitious roadmap, but as a lean and hightrust team, we remain quick to collaborate and support each other with challenging problems. What youll bring Were open to a range of experience levels, whether youre midlevel or senior, as long as you have at least 4+ years of commercial experience in fullstack development and are comfortable with a 50 / 50 frontend / backend role, along with : Proven experience with statically typed languages (ideally Typescript) Proven experience with SOLID design principles Proficient in frontend frameworks / technologies such as modern React & NextJs Proficient in writing tests using Vitest and Playwright (or equivalent) Proficient in backend technologies such as the Node.js ecosystem, SQL, & Docker Rest API design and 3rd party integrations A passion for writing clean, reliable, and maintainable code An interest in the evolving landscape of AI & LLMs You are the type of person who Is not just a doer. You think about the user with every technical decision you make. Always questioning the who, what, where, when and why. Writes pragmatic and simple code that achieves the desired commercial outcome. You understand the tradeoffs between quality and velocity and have a track record of striking the right balance. You ask questions. You are clear and concise in your verbal and written communication.
