Description Right at Home Central Qld provide caring, compassionate, respectful, and high-quality holistic care in Aged, Disability, Transitional & Palliative Care and Hospital in the Home to the Wide Bay Region, QLD, Australia Right at Home Wide Bay are growing the team and require a part-time RN with availability for 3-4 days per week with the potential to go to fulltime. Our staff are important to us and will work under the supervision and with support / mentoring of a care manager according to their scope of practice as defined by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board. Your new role will be responsible for: Completing client assessments, clinical care and reviews Interprets health, aged and disability care policies and regulations for carer and nursing staff and employees. Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies related to aged and disability care services. Implementing and maintaining all relevant operating systems including Visual Care, policies & procedures & service conditions for caregivers, nurses & other care professionals Ensuring Caregiver Management meets best practice standards including encouraging on-going professional development of the Care Team Serves as a liaison with the accounts department, ensuring proper billing in line with the care plan. Compliance with OH&S regulations Meeting with clients and their families, assessing their needs and building strong connections Conducting client care assessments and preparing care plans to best meet client requirements Provision of some nursing care and in-home care services as needed. Handling information requests, feedback, and general enquiries Ensuring all documentation is accurately and comprehensively completed in Right at Home databases and software programs Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) with 1-2 years of experience in community nursing and current AHPRA registration. Alternatively, a Certificate III or IV in Aged/Disability Care with a minimum of 4 years'' experience. Proven experience in aged care, disability, or mental health within a community setting. Strong understanding of Aged Care and Disability Standards, as well as consumer-directed care principles. Current First Aid, CPR certification, and National Police Check. Working With Children (WWC) check or willingness to obtain. A valid driver''s license and access to a reliable car with comprehensive insurance. Preferred Skills A dynamic and energetic personality with strong communication skills and a friendly, professional telephone manner. Ability to think critically and solve problems effectively under pressure. Skilled in multitasking with a keen attention to detail, maintaining composure and focus in fast-paced environments. Exceptional networking and consultation abilities to build and cultivate new referral sources and establish relationships with relevant external organizations. Outstanding customer service capabilities with excellent verbal and written communication skills. In-depth knowledge of home care services, industry guidelines, and best practices. Proficient in wound care, catheter care, and PEG feeding techniques. Strong understanding of NDIS services, policies, and guidelines. Excellent time management and organizational skills, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
