Employing 5,000 staff, we create life-changing opportunities for students to learn by delivering an extensive range of educational services to over 60,000 aspirational students across our global network each year.Job DescriptionIn this role, youll work closely with operational leaders and be connected to our global WHS team, to support a safe and healthy work environment for our employees, students, contractors and visitors.What you''ll be doingImplement, and monitor workplace health, safety, and wellness programs in compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices.Conduct risk assessments, identify potential hazards, and recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures.Manage and handle administration of injury cases, coordinate return-to-work programs, and facilitate effective communication between employees, management, and healthcare providers.Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, injuries and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Provide training and education to employees on health, safety, and wellness topics, promoting a culture of safety awareness.Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on health and safety metrics.Stay up-to-date with changes in relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.QualificationsBachelor''s degree in a relevant field e.g. Occupational Health and Safety, Public Health, or related disciplineGood understanding of workplace health and safety legislation and best practices(e.g.OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001)Solid experience in injury and claims management and return-to-work programsExperience implementing wellness, health and safety programsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAnalytical and problem-solving abilitiesProficiency in data analysis and report writingKnowledge of ergonomics and workplace risk assessmentFamiliarity with relevant software (e.g. safety management systems, incident reporting tools) is preferableAdditional InformationWhat we can offerWe offer a range of employee benefits, support to help you be your best, and flexibility, to help us all thrive.Navitas is where work has meaning.
