Registered Midwife St John of God Health Care Join to apply for the Registered Midwife role at St John of God Health Care We have a number of opportunities available for Registered Midwives and Dual Registered Midwife/Nurses to join our Maternity ward at Ballarat. Permanent or casual positions are available working a variety of shifts from Monday to Sunday. You will take time with their patients and their families supporting them through every step of their journey to being a parent. Our midwives are dedicated to providing all aspects of pregnancy, birth and postnatal care in our antenatal clinics and services, on our maternity wards and in birth suites, care for our babies in our special care nurseries. Responsibilities Assess plans, deliver and evaluate patient care, seeking support from senior staff as required. Promote and contribute to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the ward and within the hospital. Provide patient education and act as a resource where appropriate. Support and supervise staff and students as required, including orientating and preceptoring staff. Contribute to the achievement of Hospital and Clinical Services operational objectives. Qualifications / Experience You will have a registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered/Nurse Midwife, a demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with welldeveloped interpersonal and relationship building skills. To succeed you will have an ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary healthcare team, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development. Above all, patients will be at the core of everything you do committing to and supporting our Mission and Values.
