The Opportunity We are seeking an Environmental Services Assistant to work across our domestic services at Southern Highlands Private Hospital. This role will involve providing the highest standards of cleanliness to all areas of our hospital. Reporting to the Food Services Manager, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, Team and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital and Ramsay Health Care. Duties And Responsibilities Maintaining high standards of cleanliness in all areas, including wards and operating theatres Ensuring all equipment used on shifts is cleaned, restocked and stored in the appropriate areas Performing laundry services, including washing, folding and transporting laundered goods where required Working in a friendly and supportive manner at all times Maintaining communication networks with nursing staff and other stakeholders to ensure quality clinical outcomes are achieved Skills And Experience The successful candidate will be punctual, reliable and have a commitment to genuine, friendly customer service. Previous experience in a hospital environment is desirable but not essential Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus Compliance with HACCP, Workplace, Health and Safety and Infection Control Experience in cleaning services Team player who enjoys working within a large team Demonstrated attention to detail and pride in work Whats in it for you?
