The role, based in Williamtown, NSW, governs various air, land and specialist training programs that support the ADF to execute advanced test and training exercises to ensure warfighter preparedness. This role also supports the ADF in managing and planning of long term, strategic test and training capability upgrades.ResponsibilitiesDay-to-day safety governance of the various ATTE programsIdentifying and pursuing opportunities to provide additional services and support the customers test and training needsEstablishing and implementing plans, strategies and milestones for the programs, and monitoring adherence to program master plans and schedulesAccess, identify, and manage program risk and opportunity ensuring compliance with relevant standards, legislation, and regulationsProvide key communications and stakeholder management within the team by providing supervision, coaching and development recommendations to ensure that they have the required capability for assigned tasksLiaison with Commonwealth System Program Offices and other ADF organisations to ensure that Commonwealth expectations are metWork in close collaboration with other team leads, senior managers, and discipline/functional leads regarding overall resource availability and competency to deliver outcomes most effectively and efficientlyTravel may be required with Australia to fulfill the requirements of this role.QualificationsRelevant tertiary qualification in either, Program or Business Management, or equivalent experience; with a minimum of 7 year''s experience in a defence project management role, or relevant experienceDemonstrated competence in Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) competenciesProven ability to work both as an individual and as a member of a high-performance teamStrongly developed interpersonal skills and able to influence stakeholders to an operational level and the ability to develop solutions that meet complex customer requirementsDemonstrated focus on delivering the best possible outcome and attends to all details required to deliver the right solutions at the right time and commitments are met on budget and scheduleHold or be eligible for an NV-1 security clearance to perform the role.
