Based in CorowaBe part of a team contributing to your local communityPart-time position - Term contract until 2/11/2026Lifestyle location on the Murray RiverThe opportunityFederation Council has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Administration Officer to join our Planning and Development Team on a maximum term contract ceasing on 2 November 2026. This position is available due to internal secondments and are fundamental to the success of our team. We are looking to fill one part-time position (28 hours/week). As an Administration Officer, you will play a dynamic and pivotal role in promoting a professional and positive image of Federation Council. Your primary focus will be to deliver exceptional customer service and ensure the needs of our clients are consistently met. As an Administration Officer, you will provide essential support to the Planning and Development department. Your core responsibilities will include:Processing applications submitted through the NSW Planning Portal.Producing and issuing certificates using standard templates.Digitizing drainage diagrams and other historical records.Managing requests related to the Government Information (Public Access) Act (GIPA) and other planning records.Creating and maintaining registers within Council''s Civica Authority application management system.Essential key criteria to be addressed in applicationsCompletion of a Certificate III in Administration or similar, or relevant experience in a similar role.Demonstrated experience in the area of Administration in a government agency; similar non-government agency (such as SES; RFS, etc); or a development industry professional service provider.Hold a current and valid Driver''s Licence.Demonstrated intermediate computer skills across a range of applications and the ability to adapt to new computer software easily.Demonstrated ability to manage time, set priorities as well as plan and organise one''s own work to achieve set objectives in the most efficient way possible within the available resources and timeframe.Proven ability to provide excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively with people at all levels, both internal and external to Council.What we offerAn opportunity for you to grow and develop your skills.Fortnightly rostered days off for full-time positions.Being part of a team contributing to your local community.Employee Assistance Program (EAP).Salary packaging through Maxxia.A supportive and inclusive workplace with a real focus on work/life balance.The appointment will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award and Council''s policies and conditions of employment.
