Job Description

Sustainability Coordinator Central-West Orana Renewable Energy ZoneACCIONA COBRA, a joint venture of ACCIONA, COBRA and Endeavour Energy, is designing, building, financing, operating and maintaining the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) transmission network. The project will deliver at least 4.5 GW of new network capacity from 2028 to connect 7.7 GW of wind and solar projects, powering more than 2 million homes each year.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in implementing a sustainability strategy and action plan aligned with project objectives and best practices.Capture and report sustainability data (energy, greenhouse gas emissions, water, waste, and materials).Conduct assessments to identify opportunities and risks related to environmental, social, and economic impacts.Prepare sustainability rating submissions.Collaborate with project teams to integrate sustainability into design, procurement, and construction phases.Coordinate stakeholder engagement to gather input and foster support for sustainability initiatives.Monitor and report on sustainability performance indicators, tracking progress and identifying areas for improvement.Ensure compliance with sustainability requirements, regulations, and standards, providing guidance and support to project teams.Criteria for SelectionBachelor''s degree or higher in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Data Science or a related field.Previous experience in sustainability advisory roles, preferably within the infrastructure or construction industry.Experience as a site engineer, environmental coordinator, data analyst or similar roles, looking to move into the sustainability field.Demonstrated track record of successfully implementing sustainability initiatives and driving measurable improvements on largescale projects.Knowledge of environmental regulations, sustainability policies, and green building codes relevant to infrastructure development.Experience conducting sustainability assessments, lifecycle analyses, and stakeholder engagement activities.Experience and skills in data management and PowerBI.Familiarity with sustainability assessment tools and software applications (e.g., LCA software, ISC Rating tool, Green Star rating tool).Certification or professional accreditation in sustainability (e.g., ISAP, GSAP, LEED AP, GRI Certified Sustainability Professional) is advantageous.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare technical reports, presentations, and sustainability communications materials.Excellent organisational and data management skills.We welcome applicants of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences.If you believe you bring the capabilities to succeed in this role, we''d love to hear from you.
