Our team is dedicated to delivering compassionate, reliable, and empowering support to help people live safely, independently, and with dignity.About The RoleWe are seeking compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to join our team at a Supported Independent Living (SIL) home in Oxenford. You will be supporting residents with diverse needs, including intellectual disability, trauma histories, and mental-health challenges. Your role is to promote independence, dignity, and meaningful daily living.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide respectful, person-centered support to residentsAssist with daily living skills (cooking, cleaning, personal care, medication prompts)Support emotional wellbeing using trauma-informed and strengths-based approachesBuild positive relationships based on trust, consistency, and clear communicationImplement behaviour support strategies in line with NDIS guidelinesEncourage community participation, social engagement, and skill developmentMaintain accurate documentation and shift notesWork collaboratively with the team and follow individual support plansRequired SkillsCompassion, patience, and strong emotional awarenessAbility to remain calm and supportive in challenging situationsUnderstanding of trauma-informed care and mental-health considerationsExcellent communication skills, including de-escalation and active listeningRespect for autonomy, boundaries, and individual differencesReliability, consistency, and commitment to ethical careAbility to follow behaviour support plans and safety proceduresRequired Qualifications & ChecksCertificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services, or equivalentCurrent First Aid & CPRNDIS Worker Screening Check (or ability to obtain)Blue Card if requiredValid driver''s licenceExperience in SIL or psychosocial disability support is highly regardedWhat We OfferCompetitive Pay Rates up to $44.59/hourSupportive, inclusive team environmentOngoing training and professional developmentOpportunities for career progression within ACCORD CARE#J-18808-Ljbffr
