When you join us, you''ll be part of a global team harnessing the power of scientific testing and data-driven insights to build a healthier future.The roleALS Geochemistry in Malaga seeks an enthusiastic Logistics Worker to join a professional team that strives to build strong client relationships by consistently delivering quality results on time.This is a Casual role and requires you to work in a warehouse and be responsible for specific tasks, such as storing boxes on shelves, building pallets for transfer to other sites, and scanning samples into the system.You will report to the Production Coordinator and work the day shift from Monday to Friday (from 7 am to 3 pm).The role requires lifting to 10kg and safe manual handling skills.ResponsibilitiesMaintaining sample storage by following safe work practicesScanning samples into our sample management system (GEMS) using an RTF scannerAble to locate and keep track of samplesBasic understanding of Microsoft Suite (specifically Excel and Word)Retrieving samples for laboratory when requestedBuilding and wrapping palletsNumerical recognitionVerbal and written communication skillsReasonable level of physical fitnessThe EssentialsPrevious warehouse experience will be highly regardedA capacity to work in a high-throughput, client-focused environmentA positive work attitude, a willingness to learn new skills and be a great team playerExcellent attention to detail, organizational and time management skillsAbility to work well both autonomously and in a team environmentCapacity for cross-training to facilitate fluctuations in workflow and accommodate leaveWorking at ALSThe ALS team is a diverse and dedicated community united by our passion to make a difference in the world.Our values are important to us, and shape how we work, how we treat each other and how we recognise excellence.At ALS, you''ll be supported to develop new skills and reach your full potential.
