Position OverviewAmazon is seeking Maintenance Technicians - Day Shift to join our Reliability, Maintenance & Engineering (RME) team at our Delivery Station in Chullora, Sydney.As a Maintenance Technician, you''ll keep our site operating safely and efficiently by maintaining and repairing material handling equipment, automated packaging, and distribution machinery. You''ll respond to breakdowns, perform preventative maintenance, and implement longterm improvements to reduce downtime.This is a permanent day shift position working on a 4day roster (10hour shifts) and is entitled to annual leave and penalty rates where applicable.Selection & Recruitment ProcessAfter submitting your application, you''ll receive an email invitation to complete a short online assessment designed to showcase your technical knowledge and problemsolving skills.Our recruiting team will review your application and assessment results and, if successful, you''ll be contacted to interview with the hiring manager. This interview will explore your technical experience, problemsolving approach, and alignment with Amazon''s Leadership Principles.In the final stage, you''ll complete interviews with two Amazonians, focused on technical capability, problemsolving, leadership behaviors using Amazon''s unique interview framework. Final outcome will be shared within 5 business days.Learn more about Amazon RME in Australia.Key ResponsibilitiesComplete proactive and preventative maintenance on site equipmentDiagnose and repair equipment faults in a live warehouse environmentImplement longterm solutions to reduce future downtimeUse specialized tools to maximize equipment effectivenessFollow and promote Health & Safety standardsBasic QualificationsFormal Trade Qualifications: Certificate III in Electrotechnology with current electrical trade license or Certificate III in Engineering OR Mechanical Trade (Fitter/Turner). Alternatively, equivalent trade qualifications formally recognised in Australia.Experience of planned preventative maintenance systemsExperience fault finding within Material Handling Equipment/Automation systemsAbility to read and understand electrical /mechanical drawingsExperience of conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/invertersExperience of working to appropriate health & safety standards and regulationsPreferred QualificationsExperience with CMMS systemsExperience with sortation machinesExperience with maintaining / configuring bar code scannersExperience with print and apply machinesAcknowledgement Of CountryIn the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
