And you''ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.We are looking for a Data Centre Engineering Operations Technician (EOT) Trainee. EOT''s are Amazon''s front line responders for handson electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operation. This equipment includes, but is not limited to, standby diesel generators, switchboards/switchgears, UPSs, PDUs, AHUs, pumps, motors, VFDs, and building automation systems. EOT''s provide 24/7 shift coverage which could include 12 hour shifts, rotating shifts, 3, 4, or 5 day work weeks.Security ClearanceHold or be able to attain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency Clearance (Job ResponsibilitiesReview the management of both routine and corrective maintenance on a variety of critical systems such as: switch gear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, etc.Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses & prepare reports on all aspects of the critical facility infrastructure operations & maintenance.Help with the design, implementation, commissioning and buildout of new facilities.Create and implement projects to increase current facility capacity, efficiency, sustainability & reliability.Manage the facility assets and the provision of infrastructure & inventory asset management.Manage the onsite management of contractors, subcontractors and vendors, ensuring that all work performed observes established practices, procedures & local legislation.Work with other business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimise plant safety, performance, reliability, sustainability and efficiency.Basic Qualifications1+ years of data center or mission critical facilities (example: hospital, military facility, public safety facility, etc.) experienceExperience prioritizing and delivering projects on time in a fastmoving environmentComputer literate, confident with Office SuitePreferred Qualifications1+ years of data center engineering or operations experienceBachelor''s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related fieldDegree or Technical (Military/Trade School) Degree Cert IV and relevant experienceAcknowledgement of CountryIn the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
