Transport SpecialistAmentum Alice Springs, Northern Territory, AustraliaThe Transport Specialist is responsible for the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of transportation assets to support personnel, goods, and materials between Alice Springs and our site. This includes rostered bus services, airport transfers, truck runs, and general deliveries and collections in the surrounding areas within regulatory guidelines.In addition, the Transport Specialist provides logistical support, including loading and unloading cargo, operating heavy machinery where qualified, supporting special events, and assisting with warehouse activities where necessary. They also play a vital role in vehicle care by performing preinspections and ensuring vehicles are maintained, cleaned, and refueled as required.With a strong focus on safety and customer satisfaction, the Transport Specialist delivers a professional and positive experience for passengers and stakeholders. This role requires maintaining all necessary licences and endorsements, adhering to environmental health and safety standards, and upholding ethical practices in line with organisational goals.Key DutiesOperate assigned transportation assets in a safe manner in accordance with regulatory guidelinesPerform rostered bus services transporting passengers to and from Alice Springs as directedTransport deliveries as directed between Alice Springs, the site, and the airportProvide a safe, dynamic and wellrounded experience for the customers every dayUtilize all material handling equipment in a safe and consistent mannerPrepare loads for transportation within regulatory guidanceConduct basic preinspections of vehicles to ensure roadworthiness; report any faults to transport supervisor; carry out basic maintenance on vehiclesEnsure compliance with all site environmental health and safety requirementsDemonstrate a positive approach to Amentum Ethics and goalsMaintain all appropriate licences and endorsements and do not operate any equipment with an expired or revoked licence or endorsementMaintain vehicles in a clean and presentable condition including vehicle cleaning and minor maintenanceAny other reasonable duties as requested by any member of the teamEssential RequirementsAustralian CitizenshipA current Driver''s Licence with HR or H endorsementDesirable RequirementsVocational and/or tertiary qualifications in Transportation or Business streamsForklift LicenceExperience in logistics and transport operations including warehouse operationsHC Driver''s LicenceFirst Aid / CPRWhite CardWorking at HeightsExperiences Minimum Essentials6 months experience in the logistics industryPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 25 kg independentlySecurity Clearance RequirementIt is a condition of employment at JDFPG that employees obtain and retain the appropriate level of security clearance and medical clearance applicable to each role.
