The role involves delivering high quality and comprehensive alcohol and other drug education services to young people accessing YSHAC.ResponsibilitiesProvide high quality alcohol and other drug education services to young people accessing YSHAC.Work as part of a valuesdriven, lifefriendly organisation to support young people aged between 1520 years old who are homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness in crisis accommodation and 1625 year olds who are in transitional housing.Qualifications & ExperienceDiploma level qualification in Human Services combined with significant skills and experience in youth work, or tertiary qualification in Youth Work, Social Work or related behavioural science discipline (must meet current requirement for eligibility for full membership with Youth Work WA).Case management and assessment skills.Ability to accept, respect and work with young people from a broad range of backgrounds and abilities, from different cultures (particularly Aboriginal & CaLD young people), who may identify as LGBTI and from all belief systems.Up to date knowledge of resources in the youth services field, including alcohol and other drugs, education, training and employment.Understanding of youth housing and accommodation systems.Strong practice ethos in being personcentred, traumainformed and strengthbased in your approaches.Current National Police Clearance valid within one year and a current WA Working with Children Check.Impact and BenefitsSalary starting from $86,950.50 plus 12% super and salary packaging.Salary packaging of up to $15,900 (approximately $4K after tax) plus additional salary packaging of up to $2,650 for meal and entertainment expenses.Additional 3 days leave per year over festive period.Inclusive and welcoming community that places people at the heart of all the work we do, encouraging broad thinking, curiosity, creativity and best practice.How to ApplyTo apply, please click the apply button and attach a current detailed resume and covering letter.
