OverviewThe Association Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day administration and coordination of Brisbane Netball Association (BNA), with a strong focus on competition delivery, game-day operations, internal coordination, and member experience.This position requires attendance onsite 3 days per week.This role supports the President and Board by executing agreed decisions, coordinating staff, volunteers and convenors, and ensuring competitions and association activities run smoothly.ResponsibilitiesManage the day-to-day administrative operations of BNA (excluding Board governance)Act as an administrative contact for clubs, members, convenors, officials and facility usersAssist with the coordinating of the operational delivery on competition days including:Ensuring Games Desk documentation is printed when required for game day and club carnival.Ensuring the season ladders and games results are entered correctly and maintained post-game dayOverseeing the smooth running of netball games and fixtures and the completion of required paperworkSupport staff and volunteersIssue resolution and escalation to the President and Board where requiredAssist with registrations, scheduling support, communications and competition logisticsAssist with rostering, task allocationSupport competitions, umpiring, representative programs, and events where necessaryMaintain operational systems including Netball Connect and internal databasesCoordinate facilities access, bookings and day-to-day usage including on-site facilitation during external court bookings (e.g., schools)Coordinate internal communications, operational records, systems and workflowsTrack and follow up operational actions arising from Board decisionsCoordinate and support administrative staff, casuals and volunteersSupport day-to-day financial administration in conjunction with the Treasurer and bookkeeper where required, including:Invoicing and receiptsPoint of sale (POS) and cash handling processesReconciliations supportAssist with grant administration, reporting and acquittals (operational inputs only)Monitor and report maintenance issues, safety concerns, and equipment needsLiaise with Canteen Convenor and offer support with ordering etc when requiredLiaise with council, suppliers, and contractors on minor operational mattersSupport safe operations in line with WHS and Child Safe requirementsMaintain operational records required for compliance (e.g., Blue Card tracking)Refer formal governance matters to the President and Board SecretaryQualificationsProven experience in administration, coordination, or office management rolesStrong organisational and time-management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, community-based environmentComfortable working with volunteers and community stakeholdersWillingness to work weekends and outside normal hours during netball seasonsCurrent Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)Highly DesirableFirst Aid and CPRExperience in a sporting, not-for-profit or community organisationFamiliarity with Netball Connect or similar membership systemsExperience with basic financial administration and reportingExperience coordinating events or competitionsPractical and hands-onReliable and calm under pressureApproachable and solutions-focusedStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle escalations effectivelyComfortable coordinating people without needing formal authorityAligned with the values and community focus of Brisbane Netball AssociationThe Association Coordinator is required to maintain discretion and confidentiality and to always act in the best interests of the association. This is a critical operational role for Brisbane Netball Association. The Association Coordinator is required to work when and where netball is happening, particularly during competition periods and key association events.This position is offered on 3 days a week, casual basis and will involve:Work outside of standard business hoursVariable hours aligned to competition schedules, events and operational needsWhile some administrative tasks may be completed during standard weekday hours, the role is inherently event and competition driven, and availability during game days is an essential requirement of the position.
