This FIFO role is ideal for a handson leader who thrives in a sitebased environment, takes ownership of outcomes, and understands the critical link between fleet reliability and production performance.Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for workshop leadership, maintenance planning, fleet availability, and compliance, while working closely with site operations to support safe and efficient production. You will play a key role in establishing "how we do things" at McPhee Creek.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the safe, efficient and compliant operation of the site workshop supporting MGM Bulk haulage and mobile equipment.Provide frontline leadership and supervision to fitters, trades assistants and workshop personnel.Plan, coordinate and execute preventative and corrective maintenance to maximise fleet availability and production output.Work closely with site operations to align maintenance priorities with production requirements.Ensure compliance with MGM Bulk safety systems, MSMS requirements and WA Mine Safety legislation.Lead prestarts, toolbox talks and taskbased risk assessments, exercising stopwork authority where required.Monitor equipment condition, defect trends and breakdown performance, escalating risks and issues proactively.Manage parts, tooling and workshop resources to support continuous operations.Complete accurate maintenance, safety and shift reporting and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.About YouStrong understanding of heavy mobile equipment maintenance in a mining or heavy industrial environment.Demonstrated experience supervising workshop teams supporting haulage or loadandhaul operations.Sound knowledge of preventative maintenance systems and defect management.Heavy vehicle and mobile plant safety, isolations and risk controls.Maintenance planning in a productiondriven environment.Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across operations.Ability to balance fleet availability, cost control and uncompromising safety standards.Demonstrated workshop or maintenance supervisory experience on mine sites.Ability to pass a preemployment medical and drug & alcohol screening.Full Australian working rights.What MGM OffersCompetitive FIFO remuneration package.Based at Golden Eagle Camp with comfortable accommodation, quality meals and recreation facilities.Opportunity to be part of a major WA mining project from inception.Brand new fleet of CAT loaders, Kenworth Trucks and Ultra-Quad Road Trains.Secure employment with a respected bulk haulage company.Strong safety culture and supportive leadership team.Genuine career development and progression opportunities.If you are interested in the role, click ''Apply'' and submit your resume along with a covering letter outlining why you would be the best fit for our team.Please note: only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.As an inclusive employer, MGM is committed to improving workplace diversity, inclusion and equity.
