As our Senior Governance Advisor, you''ll play a key role in shaping how we operate with integrity, confidence, and purpose.About the RoleReporting to the Manager City Governance, this senior role provides high-level governance advice and partners with leaders across the organisation to embed strong, practical governance frameworks.You Will:Provide trusted advice on governance, compliance, and the Local Government Act 2020.Ensure Council policies, frameworks, delegations, and governance instruments remain accurate, transparent, and legally sound.Guide the City''s approach to risk management, insurance, compliance audits, and local laws.Lead and support a small team, fostering a highperforming culture focused on quality outcomes and continuous improvement.Every day, your work will help ensure our governance practices are not only compliant, but meaningful, supporting ethical decisionmaking and community confidence.About YouYou''re a trusted governance professional who brings strong judgement, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate complexity. You provide clear, practical advice grounded in sound knowledge of governance, compliance, and legislative frameworks, including the Local Government Act 2020.You are confident working with leaders, balancing technical expertise with strong communication and relationshipbuilding skills.
