OverviewAurora Energy is seeking Electrical Wind Turbine Technicians to join our team on a casual basis. Aurora are based on multiple sites across the region. This is a fly-in, fly-out (FIFO) or drive-in, drive-out (DIDO) position to provide flexibility and coverage for the varied work locations.The role of the Wind Technician encompasses the installation, mechanical and electrical completions, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of wind turbines at a wind farm site. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. The Wind Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper functionality of wind turbines and compliance with industry standards throughout their lifecycle.ResponsibilitiesCarry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on wind turbines, including inspections, troubleshooting, and repairsDiagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on wind turbine componentsPerform maintenance on turbine blades, gearboxes, generators, and other key systemsDocument all work completed and maintain detailed records of turbine performanceAdhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and proceduresProvide technical support and mentoring to less experienced team members as requiredQualificationsRelevant Australian Certified Electrical TradeProven experience as a Wind Turbine Technician, preferably in a FIFO/DIDO roleStrong understanding of wind turbine systems, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical componentsExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to work safely at heights and in remote locationsWillingness to travel and work flexible schedules to meet the needs of the businessExcellent communication and teamwork skillsSkills, Experience and QualificationsA Grade Electrical Licence mandatoryVestas, GE, Goldwind WTG experience not essential but highly desirableCurrent GWO/ART trained Highly desirableHeavy Vehicle License (HC/MC) desirableBenefitsFlexible work arrangements to suit your lifestyleComprehensive training and development opportunitiesLAFHA Allowances (if applicable)Access to our employee health and wellness programsOpportunities for career advancement within the organisation#J-18808-Ljbffr
